"In the book, James and the Giant Peach, by Roald Dahl one of the funniest parts was with Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker. They were so mean to poor James. Spiker shouted, "Why you good-for-nothing brute!" They also beat him and called him terrible names. Later, in the story Spiker said, "Just you wait till I get my hands on him." No wonder that James wanted to get away from them.
The author, Roald Dahl, made this book funny by killing off Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker with a giant peach. "Aunt Sponge the fat one, tripped over a box...Aunt Spiker immediately tripped over Aunt Sponge and came down on top of her; then they started to fight." They ended up flattened like a couple of "paper dolls." This is funny because they had it coming."
