Students learn about food safety, nutrition, cooking techniques, and how to prepare various meals. They select their first cookbook and a recipe card box during their field trip to the book store. Each time they cook something new, they make edit notes on the recipe to remember any changes they want to sure to do next time. They also learn how presentation of food is an important element of enjoyable dining.
